Public Hearing Notice 1/30/13 Quality Sand

Public Notice Regarding Request for Special Use Permit

And Rezoning

 

            Notice is hereby given that the City of LaSalle Planning Commission will hold a meeting for a public hearing in the LaSalle City Council Chambers at 745 Second Street, LaSalle, Illinois, on the 30th day of January, 2013, at 5:30 p.m. At that time, a request for issuance of a special use permit and for consideration of rezoning to M-2, Heavy Industrial by Dan Voss, Josh Voss and their company, Quality Sand Products, LLC, for and related to a proposed sand mining operation and related endeavors on premises presently zoned M-1, commonly known as being an approximate 147.7 acre parcel West of LaSalle County Highway 43, East of East 6th Road, and North of Interstate 80, and also being commonly known as being part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 34 North, Range 2, East of the Third Principal Meridian, in LaSalle County, Illinois, and more specifically described as follows:

The Southwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 34 North, Range 2 East of the Third Principal Meridian, EXCEPT the East 10 acres thereof in Waltham Township, LaSalle County, Illinois; AND ALSO EXCEPT that portion conveyed to the State of Illinois as contained in the Warranty Deed recorded in Book 1161, Page 175 in the LaSalle County Recorder’s Office, described as a strip of land across a portion of the Southwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 34 North, Range 2 East of the Third Principal Meridian, LaSalle County, Illinois, said strip increasing uniformly from a width of 120 feet North of the transit line from the West property line which intersects the transit line at Station 843+34.75 to 150 feet at Stations 848+00; decreasing from a width of 150 feet at Station 848+00 to a width of 126.7 feet at Station 852+00, EXCEPTING therefrom that portion in Section 5, Township 33 North, Range 2 East of the Third Principal Meridian, all in LaSalle County, Illinois, more particularly described as follows:

 

SUPPLEMENTAL METES AND BOUNDS DESCRIPTION:

Part of the Southwest Quarter of Section 32, Township 34 North, Range 2 East of the Third Principal Meridian, described as follows:

Commencing at the Southeast Corner of the Southwest Quarter of said Section 32; then South 89° 59’ 58” West 166.21 feet along the South Line of said Southwest Quarter to the Southwest Corner of the East 10 acres of said Southwest Quarter and the Point of Beginning; thence North 00° 37’ 48” West 2,621.05 feet along the West Line of said East 10 acres to the Northwest Corner of said East 10 acres; thence North 89° 52’ 35” West 2,475.08 feet on the North Line of said Southwest Quarter to the Northwest Corner of said Southwest Quarter; thence South 01° 02’ 32” East 2,606.30 feet along the West Line of said Southwest Quarter to the North Right-of-Way Line of Interstate Route 80; then North 85° 46’ 50” East 465.68 feet along said North Right-of-Way Line; thence South 86° 50’ 10” East 403.03 feet along said North Right-of-Way Line; thence South 00° 28’ 27” West 32.39 feet along said North Right-of-Way Line to the South Line of said Southwest Quarter; thence North 89° 59’ 58” East 1,589.91 feet along the South Line of said Southwest Quarter to the Point of Beginning, containing 147.70 acres, more or less, and all being situated in Waltham Township, LaSalle County, Illinois and subject to the rights of the public in and upon that portion being used as public highway.

 

            At the time of the Planning Commission Hearing, which will be conducted in accordance with applicable law, all interested persons will be provided an opportunity to be heard, and all parties and all witnesses called may be examined and cross-examined in accord with applicable law; at which hearing the City of LaSalle Planning Commission will take such action and make such recommendations as the Planning Commission deems appropriate in accordance with the applicable law in such proceedings.
