In Remembrance – September 11th, 2001: A Virtual Film Presentation
In remembrance of September 11th, 2001, the LaSalle Public Library will offer a virtual film presentation created by the National September 11 Memorial & Museum. The film presentation takes viewers into the Memorial and Museum in New York. It recounts the attacks, the heroism and the remembrance through artifacts, many that were once part of the Towers' structures, later, essential evidence in understanding the attacks and their aftermath. Other artifacts are more personal, with stories that, despite two decades of news coverage and books, may be new to many.
The film presentation, created especially to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the September 11th attacks, to provide an avenue for remembrance, despite the COVID-19 pandemic, was created as a special project of the Adult Education group of the Memorial and Museum.
The virtual presentation will be on Saturday, September 11th, at 2:00 p.m. central. The presentation is free, open to all. To register, please go to – https://bit.ly/2USVtpK.
